Visual Identity for ‘Eleições – o filme (2019)’

We developed the concept, graphic identity and design of the promotional materials for 'Eleições – O Filme (2019)'. The documentary addresses the dispute for a student union in São Paulo and offers a reflection on the relevance of politics in our daily lives.

A political microuniverse

The different views of the world of four student slates disputing for the student union of a state school in São Paulo is the starting point of the film Eleições. The feature film, recorded in parallel to the 2018 electoral process, shows how national politics and social demands are reflected in the student context. Siamo Studio was responsible for developing the concept and graphic identity of the promotional materials for the documentary.

 

We have a voice

The challenge of the project was to translate this story into a visual identity that would create a connection with the audience of the documentary 'Eleições – O Filme (2019)'. Siamo Studio's proposal was to emphasize the power of voice and change that can be exercised by young people.

 

The studio's art direction was in tune with photographer Pablo Saborido, resulting in portraits that express the personality and strength of the film's protagonists. This concept was applied to posters, accessories such as ecobags and bottons, in addition to pieces published on social networks.

 

Elections opened in national cinemas in March 2019 and also participated in exhibitions and circuits outside the country. Directed by Alice Riff and produced by Paideia Filmes, the feature was produced by Edital Videocamp Filmes 2017 and Instituto Alana.

A visual proposal that highlights the power of voice and change that can (and should) be exercised by young people.
