By portraying the legacy of a company and its relationship with an ancient, sweet and irresistible food such as ice cream, Siamo Studio won recognition in two major awards in Brazilian design.

The book “Memories of Sorvete – A Celebration of the Ice Cream Delight that Won the World, Inspired Stories and Spread Sweetness”, a custom graphic project created for Selecta Sorvetes, won Bronze in the Editorial Design Category – Corporate Publications at the Brasil Design Award 19.

This is the largest and most comprehensive award in the national design universe. The award was presented on November 21, at the Museu da Casa Brasileira, in São Paulo. At the ceremony, the 340 award-winning projects were recognized, adding up to 140 companies selected from all over Brazil.

From the 70th anniversary of Selecta Sorvetes – the brand that revolutionized the Brazilian ice cream industry – “Memories of Sorvete” rescues the different aspects of the human relationship with this food. The customized project was also selected for the 13th Brazilian Graphic Design Biennial.
The Biennial is organized by the Graphic Designers Association – ADG Brasil and is the oldest and most important graphic design exhibition in the country.

The partial exhibition of the selected works opened on November 30th in Curitiba, at Museu Oscar Niemeyer (MON). The complete selection of works can be seen at https://bienaladg.org.br/selecionados.

Relevant content for those who produce ice cream in Brazil

By celebrating the legacy of Selecta Sorvetes, a brand of the Duas Rodas group that is a national leader in the segment of inputs for ice cream, “Memories of Sorvete” went beyond a conventional institutional book. For the art director of Estúdio Siamo, Ana Megda, the intention with this editorial design was to create original, comprehensive and, at the same time, relevant content for those who produce ice cream in Brazil.

“The result is a customized graphic project that brings together, in the same work, the entrepreneurial saga of Selecta and its customers, market data and projections, but also celebrates this food with exciting stories and entrepreneurship”, he points out.

“Siamo more than embraced the cause: it made this project come true with all its professionalism and dove heart and soul to explore every detail, transforming the content in a dynamic, light, fun and very interesting way”
